Psychology & Psychotherapy

Kate is a clinically trained psychologist that has worked for over 20 years with individuals, couples and groups. She combines depth psychology, compassion focused therapy, and mindful embodiment practice with intuitive wisdom to be an agent of change in the lives of others. Kate’s own personal spiritual journey has included Jungian dream work, Buddhist meditation, shamanic journeying and ancestral reverence and healing, and she integrates her learnings and the practices from these domains into her psychotherapy approach and methodology.

Initially, Kate worked as a consultant and facilitator for community- based organisations, providing assessments, diagnosis, training and advice, and then, having completed her studies in clinical psychology, she developed a specialist knowledge in communication, organisational culture and change, and conflict resolution, through her work as a consultant psychologist.

Kate’s clinical private practice includes clinical assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety and personality disorders, family and couples counselling. In her psychotherapy practice Kate focuses on a flexible partnership model that combines facilitating individual insight development, relationship enhancement, lifestyle coaching and facilitating learning through direct and reflective experience, drawing from mainly a Buddhist Psychology and Compassion Focused Therapy perspective.  From time to time Kate also assists organisations with workplace well-being initiatives and provides a broad range of mental health, stress management and other training solutions.
